Both of my dogs really enjoyed this rawhide alternative bone. My dogs have been eating real rawhide for several years, with seemingly no issues. A few years ago, one of my dogs, Romeo, had a terrifying near-death experience choking on a rawhide. After doing some research, I learned that this isn't an uncommon situation, and rawhides are a well-documented choking hazard. After the incident, I forever ditched the old-school rawhides. My pups easily accepted and now really enjoy these type of alternative bones. When compared to traditional rawhide, these SmartBones have more of a leathery texture, much softer and more flexible. However, these are not soft treats that can be chewed up quickly, as it still took my dogs some time to eat them, enjoying them for about 10 full minutes. One thing that I really liked about these bones is that they don't get stringy, slimy, and sticky like rawhides do. While these bones do get softer with chewing, smaller pieces of the bone eventually break off, unlike rawhides that just become one big slobbery sticky mess. Thus, SmartBones are much less of a choking hazard. One of my favorite things about these bones is that they smell really good! They contain parsley and chlorophyllin and some other good-smelling ingredients.I gave these a 4 star rating and not a 5 star rating because the first ingredient (the most prevalent) is corn, they contain sugar and salt, and they are made in china. However, because this is a treat- and not a main food staple, I think it is okay. I do recommend these- especially over regular rawhides.NOTE- The ingredients listed on the description page are INCORRECT. Reference the picture for accurate ingredient information.PS- I am pretty sure these are the exact same as DreamBones (same manufacturer, and seemingly identical products).

These are the small ones, perfect for a small dog. She gets one a day which is more than enough for her. They do a good job of keep her teeth clean. Flavor got 5 stars because if it wasn't good or soso, she won't touch it or only worry it a little and walk away from it. These she worries until there is nothing but small crumbs left and then she cleans those up as well.

I have 2 Pomeranians, 1 with particularly interesting breath! My friend reccomend these to me as her dog loves them. I liked the fact they do not contain rawhide. My dogs love them and sit quietly for 15 mins enjoying them. Their breath after the very first chew was improved and i think over continued use will get better and better. Straight after eating the chew they are so minty fresh! The manufacturer reccomend up to 3 chews per day!! That would be lovely for the dogs but not for their weight or my pocket, so I give them 1 chew every other day which I think is plenty and seems to be doing the job. Will be purchasing again.

healthier than the raw hide chews which can choke your dogs would not buy anything else as a chew for my dogs these smartbones and the other products of theirs are excellent you get what you pay for

Our Yorkshire terrier loves these and as someone else has written, likes to throw it about in the air and play with it before eating. Takes around ten minutes for him to eat giving me a welcome break!
