I recently picked up the Headley Tools 18”x12” Self-Healing Cutting Mat for some crafting projects, and it’s exactly what I needed. The mat is thick and double-sided, which is great for extending its lifespan since I can switch sides after heavy use. The self-healing feature really works—it absorbs cuts without leaving visible marks, so it always looks new. The grid lines are clear and accurate, which has helped me make precise cuts for my fabric and leather projects. My only small complaint is the strong smell right out of the package, but it fades after a few days. Overall, it’s a sturdy, well-made mat that’s ideal for any hobbyist or crafter. Rating: 5/5

This product is thick and well designed. The quality exceeded my expectations. There is metric measurement on one size and standard on the other. There are angles on both sides and on one side there is a large number of metric circles. Perfect for gauging warhammer bases.

This is just what I needed for cutting larger pieces of fabric. It's sturdy and self healing. It was a great price for the size.

I love this cutting mat. It’s thick. It’s large. It’s perfect for use with my exacto knife, razor knife, and rotary cutter. The measuring grid is really useful. Other mats I looked at were thin unlike this mat. Works perfect for all sorts of crafting. I love it so much, I may want a second one.

I have recently gotten into painting and building miniatures. I bought this so I can save my desk from cuts with knives and paint spills and glue drops. So far they have been working great for me. My only complaint and why I do not give it 4 stars is because it does not have any sort of textured or rubber edge / cover on the back side of it. I know it is a double sided mat so that is probably why they don't add some for of slip resistant material to one side - but it would have been nice if there was even a tiny rubber edge to help it not slip around so much when being used like I have seen other brands do.Overall solid value for money - I am 98% satisfied with my purchase!

I just love this mat. Why did I wait to buy it. I don't know how I did without it. Don't wait. Just get yourself one and you won't regret it. Saves so many imperfect cuts.

I bought this to cut out patterns and for general purpose use. It is all-in-one. Originally I thought it came in a 2 pack but it is double layered. It also "heals itself" so you don't to worry about deterioration with use. I keep mine on one of my work tables all the time. It is a great durable work surface. I don't use a rotary blade so I can't speak to its performance, it's nicely weighted so it would take some doing to damage it. The size is bigger than a large pizza box.

Does a great job self healing. This mat is surprisingly solid / rigid for how thin it is, and its weight. The board is smooth enough to not mark up leather being cut on it.
