Love this Primula water bottle.
The design of the Primula water bottle makes it to use and the motivational makers act as encouragement to support your goal of drinking the adequate amount of water each day.

Leaky bottle
Leaky and doesn’t keep the liquid cool at all. Leaked all over my car even with it completely locked. Not a great design ;(

Large sized water bottle that is pretty but may leak a wee bit
You know a bottle of this capacity is quite large. It just is. It is lightweight though, so when full it is still relatively manageable. I really like the color gradation. It is slightly less brightly colored than the online picture, which I actually prefer. It is a pretty ombré. It has a slightly rubberized finish which helps keep it from getting slippery, which is very useful when it has condensation on the outside. One of the best features is that the removable straw element can be completely disassembled to facilitate cleaning. I find the pop top lid mechanism only pops up when I have the straw attachment inserted. When I am using it without the straw I end up having to open it the rest of the way by hand because it unlatches but does not spring open. Not a big deal at all. It is not insulated, so cold drinks do come to room temperature normally, but given the volume of liquid it stays cool a good while. This bottle is marked as being for cold liquids only, you cannot use it for warm/hot drinks. It has a locking mechanism to remain closed in transit but it still occasionally leaks a bit when being transported in my lunch bag on its side, which is less than ideal. A silicone O Ring would likely resolve that problem by creating a better seal for the lid (it leaks from the main lid side, not the sipping flip top area.) Overall, I still use this around the house or office because I like the large capacity and markings which help me do better about being mindful about hydration.

LOVE me a sturdy water well!
I had seen a few of these in some retail stores and thought, "Oh that's awesome!" - though these in the retail store were like....32 oz. I wasn't impressed. In fact, I thought they were more "cute" than anything because they were so small. Then my "spare bottle" I was using before, part of the lip broke off and it kept leaking and didn't pour well.Enter this half-gallon time marker container!I was *THRILLED* mostly because of the size and that I would not have to go keep refilling my "spare water bottle" (I use this to refill my thermos with ice) so many times throughout the day. Plus, I drink a gallon as it is. Thus, as a general rule, I'd only need to fill this "well" (as in hole in the ground that gives you access to more than a cup of water "well,") twice a day. While I don't need the motivational phrasing, I appreciate them and the "kudos" I can choose to see as I track my own water progress. This bottle is *STURDY*! I thoroughly appreciate that.I will say it took me a bit to figure out the release as I think (in hindsight) was doing before was holding the top (for "control" of opening the water to pour out) that it seemed hard to open and I kept trying to "pry" it open. Then I realized my mistake. 🤦🏽♀️I will admit I have not used the straw as I have no need for it, but I did wash/clean it out as I did the bottle after it first arrived. I have cleaned out the bottle itself once or twice, but I really don't find that it gets that dirty, especially since I just use water and there is so much flow of water - and I'm not getting any "backwash" of saliva - that there isn't as much of a need to clean.I appreciate, too, that even with the tap water or ice water I use and as "much" as I've brought it with me for travel, the markings - on both sides, the time markers and the motivation quips have not worn off or have any remote appearance of having worn/scraped off - in part or in whole.A *DEFINITE* recommend!

It's a big bottle, but it does motivate
Overall I am pretty happy with this bottle. My initial thought when seeing it was "wow, that's big!' There's not really a way around that though. If you want your entire days worth of water in one bottle, it's going to have to be pretty big. There are a couple negatives to consider with that. If you like really cold water you may have to keep adding ice or putting it in the fridge. I prefer my water room temp usually so I didn't test how long ice lasts. Also, there's the awkwardness of carrying it around. It's not awful to do this. It does have a nice carrying handle on the lid, so that helps. However, I prefer to use it when I don't have places to go. I suppose you could use it to measure the water and pour it into smaller bottle while traveling to make sure you keep your water consumption on track. The wide mouth is easy to pour. The positive to the size though is not having to refill it! With bottles I refill I tend to lose track of how many times I filled it. If you want to make sure you're drinking enough this is a great way to do it.The bottle itself is good quality. It seems very durable. I haven't tried dropping it yet (which I'm sure will happen), but I think it will hold up ok when I do. The colors are very pretty and really catch your eye. The locking lid is great and really does keep it leak proof. I tested that with and without the straw. If you don't lock it, the lid will not snap closed so it would not be leak proof in that situation. (EDIT: that's not true. It does snap shut without the lock and will remain leak proof even without the lock. I don't know why I wasn't smart enough to get it to snap shut before!) I love that the straw is easily removable. I am a little torn on the straw for a couple reasons. Since it is so easy to remove it just kind of sits in the bottle and doesn't attach to the lid. That doesn't bother me too much, but I did notice at times the straw sits very low and is hard to get ahold of to drink from. It seems that it is usually up and easy to access when the bottle is full and gets a little lower when the water lowers. You can grab the straw and pull it up a bit and it will be fine until you close the lid again. Typically, I like to use the straw at the beginning and take it out towards the end. The nice wide mouth is easy to drink from. For cleaning the bottle: the removable straw has parts that come off and is super easy to clean. The lid is also very easy to clean. The bottle is a little trickier. It's so large that my bottle brush just barely goes to the bottom of the bottle and the opening isn't big enough for my hand to go in there. The bottle isn't dishwasher safe.If you tend to not get enough water in the day (like me) this should help. The time markers really point out what part of the days I slack on water consumption. I don't necessarily keep on track all the time but I have made sure to finish it every day. In order to get the full 64 ounces you have to fill it all the way up. I feel like they are asking a lot for me to get moving and drink that much by 7 am! However, that's not a problem because it's easy to catch up later. It is marked in 2 hour increments and is really not hard to get from 1 mark to the next when you want to.
