On the Wallaroo website it states that this hat has an SPF of 30+. On this website it states that the SPF is 50+. Looking at the hat I bought today, I would say it is more like 30+ than 50+. The weave is loose not dense. In the sun flecks of sunlight can be seen in the shadow cast by direct sun onto the hat brim.
