Unlike the newer & faster methods, Govedic Attar Perfume Oils are made using the traditional Indian method of Hydro-Distillation. Fresh flowers are put into a large copper vessel called as Deg. The Deg is tighly capped with clay so that air cannot escape. The Deg is connected with another copper vessel called as Bhapka which acts as a condenser. The Deg is heated with a furnace, converting perfume from the flowers into steam which is distilled by Bhapka placed in a water tank. The scent profile quality of the perfume made in hydro-distilled method is unmatched and cannot be replicated with modern machines or with synthetic chemicals. Govedic Attars do no contain any synthetic chemicals and are alchohol-free.
