Love this ratchet pruner; easy to use with little pressure on hands and wrists.

Not Quite a Florian
Florian pruners are THE BEST. This has adopted that design and it works almost as well for half the price. The ratchet function is what makes it so remarkable compared to other hand held pruners. And the durability. Which in this case, I would say at this point, they are “almost there”. I’ve only used them a couple of months so will have to see how they hold up. Overall, they deserve a good rating at that price.

Cheap copy of Florian tool
I bought this product in the hope that it would be functionally equivalent to the Florian ratchet pruner. (Not currently available) It was not even close. I am sending it back.I tried to cut a 1/2 inch branch, which is easy work for my well-worn Florian. Cutting the branch required significant effort and multiple attack angles. Observations: First, the jaws do not open as wide as the Florian. Second, the ratchet mechanism did not work. Third, the plastic material in the handle is too soft resulting in a springy feel. The springy feel causes the user to waste effort flexing the handle instead of cutting. These pruners are only useful for cutting small things like rose stems where ergonomics and functional ratcheting are not important. Poor value even at the cheap price.

great for weak or fragile hands
This is my third one in 7 years. It does not last long, but the function is worth it and the price point is not painful.I give it a 5 because I'm an avid native plant gardener and sometimes I have to take on some bigger stems and small branches. My hands are not strong enough for pruners or hedge trimmers, I have sensitive shoulders and hands. This keeps me going and it protects my joints!
