Tried the blanket out last night on the hardwood floor in our house to check comfort level in case I have to quarantine myself from my family due to covid 19. I live in minnesota and work in healthcare so right now I'm trying things out in case it gets bad. I'm praying I dont need this for my intended purpose of an economy collapse. It deemed well with the airpad I bought also and kept me extremely comfortable. Praying I'll get to use it for camping or a fall football game lol but regardless, this blanket is outstanding. I would recommend it to everyone and will get another few for the family.

Initially we tought it might be a little bulky or heavy for multi-day hikes, but after using it a couple times we chose not to spent another 4-500 bucks for two down sleeping bags and really getting almost the same benefits. This blanket is super snuggly- warm and easily covers two ppl for sleeping in a tent. Just make sure after a cold night to let it air dry for 15-20 minutes before placing it back in the carry bag, because the body heat retained over night might trap some moisture.

Let me tell you we can’t do that anymore without taking our SuitedNomad outdoor blanket with us. It keeps us very warm every time we are waiting for the sun to come out on mountaintops or when the weather turns bad and we need to shelter. Not sure, but I think it has another layer inside that retains some of your body heat. Great wind blocker as well!

On the heavier side, but both the fleece and the waterproof layers are thicker than your average stadium blanket.And it also has a 3rd layer inside for retaining your body heat.You not only don’t feel any of the wind, but it keeps you nice and super warm. I could actually feel the heat dissipated by my body keeping me warm the entire time using it in extreme conditions (cold mountain hikes).Great purchase!

Extreme weather? Yes! It kept us super warm when we had to switch to the blanket when we got cold in our sleeping bags in the middle of the night while camping! We keep it all the time in the car and it was a savior last Sunday at our kids soccer game when it started raining. It wasn’t pouring but kept us dry!

Nice blanket. It's got a little heft, so it's not going to just flap around in a light breeze at the ball game. Or easily blow away if using as a picnic blanket.The fleece is light to medium weight and has a nice fluffy feel. The fleece layer attaches to the shell layer around the edges, but you can gather it up and wrap it around you a little inside the shell.The shell sheds off waters and doesn't leak around the seams. So the inside layer still stays dry even as water runs off the outer seam.This blanket provides more warmth than my straight up medium weight fleece blanket. There must be some kind of thermal layer inside the waterproof shell that retains heat.Its large enough to spread out and eat a picnic on. Also large enough for my wife and I to cuddle under and keep warm.I didn't notice any "static" like previous reviewer. Right out of the box, they waterproof layer side isn't silent. It sounds like some kind of nylon. Its not "crinkly" sounding. Think more along the lines of a waterproof nylon rain coat shell.

So at first impression I'm extremely happy I enjoy the heft behind the blanket feels like it is warm because it is warm. The fleece feels nice and soft. And the waterproof side is smooth and has a ripstop pattern on it. There is a considerable rubber smell, the same smell of a inner tube. After looking over the carrying case I found that it's made of the exact same material as the outer layer of the blanket which the smell is caused by the back side of the ripstop ide which is a sleek rubber like lining which is waterproof but does smell a bit. I got the smell to go away after a bit of airing out and a quick wash. It held up nice the wash as well and I air dried because I didnt feel like it would be good to tumble dry since it might melt. The actual reflective layer cant be seen but you can definitely feel the affects that it has, the longer you under the blanket the more you heat is reflected and trapped under the blanket. 10/10 would recommend for anyone wanting to save money on a quality blanket. The only thing I really wish they did was add a handle on the bottom of the carrying case so it is easy to take the blanket out of the carrying case. It also comes with a buckle to band the blanket so it makes it easy to put the blanket back into the carrying case.

I do not usually take the time to rate the many items I buy, but this one deserve a shout out. It is far and away above the quality and utility I expected. In fact, it’s superior to some of the other, more expensive brands I've tried. I have already purchased a second one,and I would love to see a few more colors in the future.
