Took a chance on this less expensive model and paid the price. Just like multiple other reviewers, my unit failed after about a month and we barely use the front door. The mechanism for opening the door handle from the inside of the house failed (push down on latch and nothing happens). You can still open the door from the outside but your stuck inside. Was able to take the "guts" out of an inside door that we rarely use and swap out. Door works fine now with and does look nice but who wants to go thru all this hassle. Buyer beware.

Easily installed. Smaller and more squared-off edges than old Schl@ge it replaced, whose internals were worn out after 30+ years. This unit seems to be better designed, sturdier internals, much lower cost. The sharp edges are, initially, a little annoying, but the latch function and lever handle more than compensate. Ambidextrous lever works well. I did not need to use the deadbolt, so cannot confirm whether it can be re-keyed; others suggest this is an issue so be prepared.

Purchased this for a front door and at first sight I was very pleased with the handle set. The problems started when I tried installing the product; threading issues with the bolts, wriggly parts, and chipping paint. I'll try another set instead. 2 stars for design though.
