This is an improvement over the OEM part and even if your factory plastic cam trim sender hasn't broke yet I'd recommend replacing it with this updated kit.

Trim sensor works again!
My original trim tab was broken because they were made of plastic. This one was super easy to install and being made of steel it won’t break. Now my trim sensor works again.

Great replacement-trim gauge is correct now
This cam fits perfectly on my 2008 Yamaha F150 outboard. As many of you mentioned it’s much better quality than the plastic one. I didn’t even know it was broken until I installed a trim gauge and it wouldn’t go below 60%. Replaced with this and it works great now.

Perfect replacement part for my 2001 Yamaha VMax 150. The original piece is made of plastic, this one is metal - will never need to replace it again! Works absolutely perfect! My trim gauge began sticking in the “up” position - this fixed it.
