I bought this for my small to medium sized puppy. She likes to take her toys apart and the reviews had said how durable it was. There are pieces that are durable. The ears the tail and the rope legs were off before the end of the day on the first day she received it. The final pictures I have shared, or three days later. The body is still intact and so is ahead so for that I still give it four stars.

This toy cracks me up. From the minute I walked into my apartment, my dog knew it was for her. When I pulled it out of the plastic it came in she went right for it. She’s a 4 month old Australian Terrier and I love watching her carry this around. It’s bigger than I expected and very strong. She isn’t a dog that destroys her toys—she destroys everything else I own! But this toy feels like it is going to last a long time it is super durable! She has so many toys, especially for a pup her age and for some reason this is one of her favorites! If I touch it she comes running and steals it away. Just grabbing it starts her zooming around with it!

Well, everything was good, my daughters gold lab is a puppy 5 1/2 month old, and teeth coming in (omg) anyway the toy is still alive and no rips yet, but the rope for the critters arms and legs forget it gone, and he would eat them if left in, so he now has an armless/legless cow, hope the company sees this also, for the price I paid. Never got a reply on this toy all the ropes gone, not happy really price I paid

Our dog loved the toy, but within 2 minutes the tail was gone. The rope legs a fun for him. However, if you have an aggressive chewer don't just leave the toy with him/her or it won't last very long.The vendor was very considerate and quickly volunteered a refund or substitute toy. They also stated that they had sent the design to their design department for redesign so STAY TUNED FOR AN IMPROVED VERSION.Based on the above I upgraded the rating to 4 stars.

I have a large dog that is a powerful chewer. I also noted that he liked to chew on soft things. The problem with that is it gets destroyed. Well not with this toy. He loves it . He carries is around, throws it up in the air to catch it, and all around really enjoys this little hippo.I will note to those of you who may have little dogs that like to chew, this is a good toy for them as well. My friend has a little rescue mix who has been chewing everything up in the house. She cannot keep any soft toys because he destroys them. I bought her on for Bentley and he has be loving it too. He takes it to bed with him. SO cute.

My dog loves this toy. We are on our third toy. We're getting about 3-4 weeks out of each toy. She likes the arms and legs which are made out of rope. If you are going to play tug of war with your dog try to hold onto the rope section and not the cloth section. The ropes will eventually wear out but last longer than the torso of the toy. If you allow your dog to pull on the body of the toy it will rip and expose the stuffing. I wish the toy came without a squeaker because my dog uses the squeaker to intentionally get attention now. She'll walk up to us and squeak the toy like crazy until we react.

No toys last long with my power chewer Boston Terriers. It's a matter of how long before a toy gets destroyed. They lasted about a week before they started ripping off parts, and then over the course of a month they were completely gutted. About what I expected, but this is not a toy that will stand up to a super chewer if that's what you are looking for in a toy.

My Husband is getting a puppy a mini dachshund and let me tell you they play like big dogs with toys . Well we have not gotten him yet, but, I will say that this toy is so adorable and well made. I have a feeling I will be buying more... I was hesitant about this toy b/c it did not look cuddly enough to me, it is soft enough that the puppy can cuddle it yet durable enough that he can play tug a war..Super cool...I love this and my husband did too..We bought the Cow and it really is cute! Love love love this toy! Oh got it at the time promised to arrive.
