I just unrolled it today and put it in my room. I just love jute rugs! For those that don't know, jute rugs shed a bit. You're going to find some dirt underneath the rug, and it's going to shed. As far as maintenance goes, you've got to vacuum it twice a week to keep dirt out of the weave. It's made of natural fibers so you can't use cleaning products on it!!!! Cleaning products will ruin it! You should dab spills with water. If you spill wine dab 50/50 water and vinegar solution. A lot of them you can just hose off though and call it a day, I don't know if you can do that with this particular rug. Also, jute rugs have a very distinct, earthy smell. It will eventually fade, but don't be alarmed when you first roll it out. They have powder cleaners you can sprinkle in the rug that vacuum out that help to mask the smell.I love the darker colors here and there that I showed in the close up pictures, so if you want a rug that is all one uniform color with no texture then this is not your rug.Im so very pleased with this rug. I love the natural look, and it's actually pretty soft on the feet! I'll update on how well this holds up to my husky, and if it sheds significantly!

My initial order was a 3×5, I liked it so well, I ordered the 8×10 as well as the 4×6.I've had them for a little over 2 weeks and they're exactly what was needed in my house for floor coverings.I love the sustainability, AND the look.The color is as picture, and truly, the feel is anything but scratchy.Perfect. :)I've attached 5 photos to show the color, thickness and sizes.I'll update any further if I need to.As a pointer for those unsure of ordering any type of area rugs online ... Be mindful of how you open the packaging, and save it; if you're less than pleased, you can re-roll, and slide the plastic back over it (I had to with another previous purchase.) With Prime the process was easy; UPS even picked it up and labeled the return at my front door.

I cannot upload my photos but these are two different rugs. The first came folded, unlabeled, no smell (it's a natural product so that was weird). Looks nice, feels nice, staying together. When the second came, though, it arrived like all our other awesome safavieh rugs: rolled, freshener packs, labels attached. The braids are more uniform, wider, and even prettier, the smell is like one of our other natural safavieh rugs from the past, and the color is just beautiful. My husband and I wondered at the first rug because it was very reddish and not brown like my homemade jute items. This second rug matches my jute possessions. The first is a fake and I hope to resolve this as soon as the shipping confirmation and things are completed. Thank you.

These rugs are absolutely awesome. They stay in place with the use of one of those inexpensive no-slip rug liners, and they're both easy on the eyes and the feet. We have a round one in the entryway and an oval one at the bottom of the stairs. Definitely take note of measurements, as the ones I ordered were smaller than I expected, but through no fault but my own. They are easy to vacuum and sweep, combining pleasing aesthetics with functionality and durability. One caveat: my puppy LOVES these, both for potty business during training and for attacking with tooth and claw. We've had to put up a gate to deter her from ruining our rugs. Just something to note for those of you with pets!

I was nervous about buying a jute rug because I thought it would be rough and scratchy. Well I was wrong when it comes to this jute rug......super soft and absolutely gorgeous in my kitchen. I was also afraid the cats would use it as another scratch pad....NOT happening. They just sprawl and rub their faces on it. Maybe they think it's super soft also ;-) Very happy with my purchase!! Now to find some kitchen chairs.

I really wanted to LOVE this rug but I don’t. The original space I bought it for, it turned out to be too small. I ended up making use of it elsewhere. I ordered the 3x5 and while the length is correct the width is completely off. Even when I measured in the middle it’s still not 3ft. I do like the softness and the quality of the rug which is why I kept it. My advice is don’t hold your breath on the measurements because they’re fabricated. As you can see I measured in the picture 36 inches and it falls short. Buyer beware!

I ordered 5x8. Fit perfect! Not too big and softer than I thought it would be! I’m very happy!

I put a 3x5' oval in front of my kitchen sink and it looks FABulous. I kind of expected some itchy material but this is really soft; it rolls up easily. I looked and looked for something that would look good enough and I finally found it. And the price isn't bad either.

Exactly as described/pictured. Great for our front entry. Cat threw up on it and was pretty easy to wipe up too.
