Exact replacement for my ship’s hydronic heating system. Glad to have found it

I replaced an old mechanical thermostat that quit working. This new digital t-stat works great, especially the preset day and night settings which makes it really easy to use, since we don't need auto setback or timer settings, though we also purchased the programmable model for another room and it also works great.

I selected these thermostats to use with a "warmboard" system (great product by the way for new construction), I have 5 zones in warmboard and 5 in-slab concrete. What interested me the most with these thermostats was their tailored application for hydronic systems which require adaptive characteristics as well as the ability to use a home control system (ELK-M1G) to control output relays to trigger the vacation setting in each of the thermostats. This allows for a single button on my alarm keypad to be used to lower the temperature of the entire house, or trigger this same function from my iphone. Control of 10 thermostats with the push of a single button, very handy.Primary positives: Price, simplicity, ability to control with a home control systemPrimary negatives: Require AA battery when preference would have been powered with battery backup. Yes, when whese call for heat they are definitely louder than I would have expected and this is what prevented me from giving five stars.

direct replacement for thermostat on my boat. I like the easy to set Night and Day buttons as well temp up and down buttons. I have night set at 55 and day set at 68, so just a quick button press to get some heat

My thermostat quit operating on the 2009 home I purchased a year ago. I was thinking of calling a repair specialist, etc when my partner suggested I see if there was a replacement on Amazon and try to install ourselves. I searched the item using models numbers, ordered and we replaced it ourselves in less than five minutes for a brand new fully operating thermostat! Could not ask for a better product or money saver!

As noted above this thermostat has a defect that when turned on it causes the temperature to raise like 2 degrees and then shuts off and it immediately goes back down. So my heating system is constantly short cycling. I’ve ordered a replacement no.2 as the original replacement did the same thing. So I’m hoping 3 times a charm. What’s so disappointing is this was originally a replacement for the exact same thermostat we had for like 10 years. No problems. The old one just decided not to work anymore and served us well. Now the exact replacement has some internal defect making it essentially unusable.

I have ten of these in my house, and I have had to replace three of them because sections of the display stopped working. Another drawback is the loud click when the thermostat turns on or off but the sound is easy to get used to (so long as it is set to 20 minute intervals instead of 15).

Easy to install, accurate. If you don't have a regular schedule at home for a preset thermostat this is the answer. Push one button to drop the temp or another to raise the temp.

this is a simple easy to use thermistat which is able to maintain my workshop +/- 0.5 deg via in slab hydronic heating. it has a feature that makes it great for Hydronic that other thermistats don't have .. 1) it will learn how long it needs to apply the heat to get the temperature right (its heating a slab of concrete so its not BANG and its hot) and 2) it will, if you apply the setting, turn on automatically every day for 1 minute. that's good, keeps the liquids from settling during the spring/summer when the system is otherwise off.
