Stevia Issues To Keep In Mind
First, let me say I am using this product several times a day and I like it a lot. For anyone thinking about buying it though there are a couple of things to keep in mind - the taste and the packaging. If you've never used stevia before the taste may take some getting used to. It took me several days to get used to it the first time I bought stevia. That shouldn't be a surprise though. The same thing happens with things like Coke and Diet Coke. If I've been drinking one for a while, it takes me a bit to get used to the different taste of the other. These days I've long since gotten used to stevia and I wouldn't use any other sweetener.Another issue is the difference in taste between various brands of stevia. The local organic food co-op in my town bottles their own and that's what I started with. Once, when they ran out, I bought a commercial brand from Walmart. Sadly, the taste was so bad that I couldn't use it. The second time my co-op ran out of their own brand, I bought Kal Pure Stevia Extract Powder. It tasted different from the local brand but I quickly got used to the new taste and had been buying it for a while. This time I went from the Kal Stevia to One Organic and I didn't notice any difference in the taste at all. The upshot of all this is that if you buy stevia for the first time, or buy a new brand for the first time, give yourself a few days to get used to the taste before deciding if you like it or not.The packaging of One Organic is something else I've seen people comment on. Rather than a bottle or some solid container like other brands use, this one comes in what seems to be a sturdy bag. That is not an issue for me. I simply put the bag in an air tight container on my kitchen counter and that works just fine. Finally, there are a couple of other things I like about this product. That's the price and the fact that it is pure organic stevia without any additives.

GREAT TASTING STEVIA
Prior to my first order of this, I was using the more expensive pure stevia. After several orders of that brand, I realized I needed to shop for a more economical replacement. I have found it. This is my third order of this brand of stevia. For those of you that are new to the pure stevia, it only takes a TINY bit to get the job done. It's not like pouring one of the table top packets into a glass of tea. The more expensive stevia I was using provided a ridiculously small spoon (envision Barbie doll size spoon), but trust me, that's where you need to start as far as sweetening a drink. Of course, you also have to adjust your taste buds to stevia vs splenda or aspartame, etc., because it is different. Like anything else, you'll most likely adapt. But, remember, if you put too much in your drink or whatever you're eating, you will regret it because it will be extremely strong and revolting. This is super concentrated stevia because it's pure - start small and add more if needed. I am very pleased with the value compared to the other brand and also very happy with the taste.

I love the fact that this brand is organic
Delicious!!! I had already given up table sugar, organic coconut palm sugar, organic raw honey, along with all the over 60 names for sugar, and was doing research on alternatives. The Stevia sold in stores is not pure, its all a mix of Stevia and some other type of additive, but I wanted it in its purest form, and that's what I got. I love the fact that this brand is organic,100% pure. I am glad I waited because this stuff hits the spot. All it takes is a little to sweeten my tea and doesn't spike my blood sugar, which excellent for diabetics. I haven't tried cooking with it yet, but I look forward to it. There is a tiny hint of an aftertaste, however, that is outweighed by the taste for me. I believe its because I only eat whole foods, nuts, seeds, no concentrated sweets, and I only eat 3 products with added sugar: salad dressing 1 gm/2 tbsp; BBQ sauce 4 gm/2 tbsp; bread 2 gm/slice. So for those who are still eating added sugars in foods, you'll probably notice a big difference in taste.

We're satisfied
We are satified. We really liked liquid but turned out to be too hard to dispense & sticky always all over cap area. I was concerned about buying bulk in bag, but just transferred to jars. Powder is Very sweet & easy to get too much in drink, etc. Use for coffee, tea, smoothy. Putting powder in shaker of some sort helps us to dispense, other wise 1/8 tsp measure can also work...mainly one should use a very controlled tool so as not to get too much, but if you do, add more liquid or scoop out as it tends to stay on top a bit until stirred.

Pure stevia may be an acquired taste, use only a tiny bit
I'm reordering now, the product lasted me about 20 months. I saw a lot of reviews calling it "bitter." It's actually pretty nice tasting for pure stevia. Most stevia products in the supermarket is diluted with erythritol, or, worse if you are on low carb, maltodextrin. Those adulterants do make it taste more pleasant than pure stevia. Stevia alone has an aftertaste you have to get used to, but the people giving it bad reviews are undoubtedly using TOO MUCH. Just use a tiny pinch. Don't use a lot to try to make things super sweet, otherwise you'll get the aftertaste. (To me, that aftertaste is metallic, not bitter.) Get used to making things only slightly sweet. I use it mainly for coffee, tea, and herbal teas. It's especially good in hibiscus-based (fruity) herbal teas.
