Compact size
This is a great product. It fits my neck perfectly, not bulky and cumbersome like a usual heating pad. The heat is centered on my spine for great comfort and relief of my neck pain.

Works well as far as heat goes, but....
First of all, this is a great idea. Puts the heat right where I need it when my neck acts up. There is a downside, though. I can only use it if I am not going to be moving much. Turning in a chair is fine, but forget about standing up and going to the kitchen. The problem is the straps. If I have them tight enough that the wrap stays in place when I don't stay in place, they feel like they are choking me. To be clear, I have never liked anything around my throat - turtlenecks, even t-shirts with too small a neck hole - no thank you. So part of this is me, but part of it is the product. Maybe there could be some redesign of the straps to allow this to be securely wrapped in place without making those of us sensitive to the sensation feel like we are being choked. I knocked off one star for that. Otherwise, it works as advertised and really helps with those 'stiff neck' times.

Almost Perfect But Not Quite
I have been looking for this type of product for ages. I have had back and neck pain for more than 20 years. While I do like this product and will use it, there are a few issues:1. The gel pack insert is not included. It says that in the package insert. I have plenty here that will fit, but I did expect a gel pack to come with the product.2. Overall, this product is flimsy. It would help if there was some padding in the back of the brace to give it more support and to make sure the heats gets to the back of the neck so that you don’t have to tighten the front so much. Neck braces need to have bulk or some stiffness in the back, with some sort of guard in the front allowing us to attach the brace tightly without feeling like we are getting strangled.3. If you want heat, you have to stay plugged in. While you can unplug it while you are heating, the heat does fade within 15 minutes. You have to keep it plugged in if you wanted to keep eating. Also, the cord is shorts. I do have a USB outlet right next to my bed, but I wouldn’t be able to turn over with it.It’s a manufacture made these changes, this would be a practically perfect products.

Game Changer started
Wondered why my neck and back always hurt. MRI showed "Severe Spinal Stenosis." Was always using plug in heating pads (sometimes two). When traveling my neck was always sore. Searched for travel neck warmer and came across this portable heated neck pad. Love it! Use it while working around house, traveling and watching TV in bed without having to plug in.Use my portable USB powered bank that works for hours. Can put in pocket and easily move around.High setting does get hot so switch to lower setting after getting started. Also works on smaller areas of body even if Velcro doesn't reach around.Highly recommend

Buyer Beware - Severe Neck Burns!
I have had this since November 2022 and never had any issues with it until the night before last. I’m not sure what exactly happened, but it might have been some sort of issue with the wiring. Sure, it’s a heating pad, so of course it gets hot, but it shouldn’t get hot enough to cause burns to the skin, and it never had before. The next morning my skin was falling off of my neck and my neck was oozing pus. My husband got me all sorts of burn first aid supplies from the drug store, which ended up costing a lot more than this heating pad.If you decide to purchase this, please be careful!! I was trying to help one pain and ended up causing a whole new one, and it HURTS!!Update: It kept getting worse, but I was determined to not go to the ER, even though my family was urging me to. This happened on a weekend, but I ended up waiting until urgent care was open and went on a Monday, so that I wouldn't have to spend $500+ at the ER. Three hours of waiting and I finally saw the doctor! The doctor prescribed me antibiotics to reduce the chances of infection and recommended much of what I had been doing to treat it over the weekend, like to continue using my aloe plant but also getting aloe gel with lidocaine, which I did. She also recommended Aleve and Tylenol for the pain (smh, thanks...). Also just making sure to keep it clean. A least it seems to be healing and it's getting less painful everyday, but still... this should never have happened! And I will definitely be left with a large scar for life:(The company has reached out to me after I contacted them too, so that was nice. We shall see what happens with that, but I just wanted everyone considering purchasing this to know all that I have been through. This has honestly been a big issue in my life for almost two weeks, and there were times where we were seriously concerned about issues like Sepsis, which can be fatal. Be careful everyone! ❤️
