Good book!
Excellent book for the busy non-exerciser, like myself. Very practical. Included illustrations and excellent descriptions of exercises that can be done anywhere and anytime. Good information. Easy to read. I have used much of the info in a senior's exercise class that I teach. Worth the read! And to have on your shelf for reference over and over again.

1996 edition was worthless, maybe it's better now
In 2011 I ordered a used copy of this book on Amazon, but what I received was the 1996 edition. Boy, was I disappointed. The author had tips like:- Do jumping jacks in your office if the floor is sturdy- Ride a bike to work- Use the gym if your company has oneYou don't need to be told this kind of stuff. The exercises you could actually do at your desk consisted of stretches and isometric exercises you've seen a hundred times elsewhere. So unless this author had some sort of epiphany between the '96 and '00 editions, don't waste your time on this one.
