Perfect!
I hate hand washing dishes, and my least favorite thing to wash is straws. I also get nervous to use dishwasher safe straws, because it’s so difficult for the dishwasher to actually clean them (I once tasted rotten food in a metal straw, and have since only felt comfortable using see-through plastic straws). Which means that these Rain straws are a lifesaver!I use these Rain straws at least once a day. These straws are everything I was looking for. I was just hoping to find straws that were dishwasher safe, the fact that these come apart was a gigantic plus.I find them very easy to take apart and put back together again. The tracks in the two pieces line up perfectly so that the straw is always perfectly flat in the drinking end. This straw is definitely textured, which takes some getting used to. One side is a matte, slightly rough texture, and the other side is smooth and glossy. My only problem is that there is a branded tab towards one end of the straw. I assumed this was to keep your straw from falling through the lid of your cup. But the tab is towards the drinking end of the straw, so if you drop your cup, you risk the straw falling out. And yes, there is a drinking end of the straw. One end of the straw is perfectly flat, and the other end is slanted. This end has to be slanted to take the straws apart, and it’s just really annoying to drink out of. I can feel and hear air bubbles getting into my mouth when I drink from this end. The branded tab also means that you have to take the straw all the way out of your cup if you’re replacing/removing your lid, which can be a little bit messy. This straw is about the same thickness as any regular plastic reusable straw. I’ve tried it in an insulated tumbler (those cheap ones shaped like a fast food cup) and a Tervis Tumbler. It fits in the lids of both of them, and I’m hoping to buy a Yeti mug soon, so hopefully it will fit in that as well. (Update: it doesn’t fit in the Yeti lid with a magnetic slider)It is a little thin for non-liquids. I tried drinking a milkshake out of it, and the sprinkles clogged it up, so I had to use a thicker, disposable straw. I haven’t had the chance to try it in smoothies or frappes yet, so I’ll edit this review once I get the chance. If Rain were to make bigger straws for boba and thick drinks, I would buy them in a heartbeat.Overall, I LOVE these straws. I try to use as few single use plastics as I can, and these straws have taken away the only thing I don’t like about washable straws. If you use reusable straws, get these to save yourself the headache of trying to scrub them with a tiny brush.

They actually work!
The straws are tight enough when snapped together so you still get good suction. I wasn’t sure how well the pieces would fit together, but they work great. It’s a little tough to pull them apart and snap them back together, but I’d rather have that than have them fall apart easily. Only cons are that I haven’t figured out how to get them to stop falling in the dishwasher (not sure if they can go on the lower rack along with my utensils) and they have a weird tab at the top that looks a little out of place and isn’t used for taking the straws apart or putting them back together. But definitely not deal breakers for me. So nice to be able to easily clean straws without a gross little brush (and hopefully some day in the dishwasher when I figure that out)

A wonderful replacement to plastic straws
I never liked plastic, one-use straws, and waited such a long time for these to come back in stock. These straws are so good, and I suggest them to everybody who loves straws, but hates having to throw them away every time.Personally, I have tried metal straws, but didn’t like the mouth feel. These feel like regular straws, but you can actually clean them. They are so easy to separate, clean, and put back together.Overall, I understand why these straws are loved by so many people. They are truly that good, although you do have to clean them, they are better for the Earth.

So convenient!
Let me start by saying if you have arthritis or other issues with your hands/fingers, these will probably be difficult to open and close. I find them easy to take apart and put back together but I can see how they'd be difficult. I love these straws! So easy to clean, I never have to worry about hidden gunk being stuck in them. I somehow lost 2 from my first pack so I went and bought another. These are now the only straws I use (with cups from home). I've tried other straws that can be taken apart and they did not even compare to the Rain straws. Great buy!

They work
I bought the cheaper ones wasn't happy. Then bought these because what I saw the stuff that was in my regular straws freaked me out. These are the best straws I've ever used. I very happy. I feel so much better now I can clean the inside of my straws now. I had to watch the video on u tube to operate them lol. But I love them they are very good. Bottom line get them

These are pretty good…
The concept is really great. Taking them apart/putting them back together is a little tough, but manageable considering the fact that they actually get cleaned. My issue is that they don’t completely seal when you are using them. Like they feel a little weird to drink out of. It might just be an adjustment period thing. Either way, cool concept, just not as natural to drink out of.

Love these!
These are wonderful! I’m at little OCD and the thought about what lurks inside a standard reusable straw is concerning. Awesome that these come apart for cleaning and go back together so easily!
