I have a Tesla which developed some moldy smell (typical in Teslas). I changed the air filter and sprayed some AC cleaner but smell didn’t go.I used this together with setting to always vent out and smell disappeared in 2 weeks (that’s the key that you are persistent).Initially I kept trying with vent in (re-circulating) which is default in Tesla in auto mode but that didn’t work. Vent out (no re-circulation) + plus charcoal bag for 2-3 weeks did wonders.

I had to buy a "new to me" used car recently, and there were some air freshener odors that Febreeze couldn't eliminate.My sense of smell is sensitive, and I don't want ANY fragrance! I mean, it's disturbing to have smells that actually get into your clothes when you're driving.I've changed cabin filters, and everything else, to no avail.This has cut the troublesome perfume scents down to the bare minimum. I ordered this because my car smelled like an ashtray. I’ve lost track of the many things I have tried to get rid of the odor. Nothing worked before this. I’ve purchased mosu charcoal bags multiple times. They work excellently!I keep one in the bathrooms, 1 by the litter box and 1 in each car.I usually “recharge” them once a year. You just set them in the sun for a few hours. After 2 years, the charcoal can go in the garden.
