What a great swimming aid. I thought I would feel the drag from the buoy, but I felt nothing dragging behind me. It took less than 2 minutes to inflate. Prob less. It was fast though. Since all I can do is lake swim now days, this devise is very useful. I actually breathed in a little water during my swim and was violently coughing. It was great to float on the buoy to relax my body while I finish the coughing. I haven’t used the pocket yet, but it’s big enough for phone keys and even wallet. Plus, others swimming behind me were able to see me 500 yards away. I’m very happy with this purchase.

With all the swimming pools being closed for COVID-19, my only option was a nearby lake. I’m not a confident open water swimmer so I purchased a NEW WAVE SWIM BUOY. I’ve never swam with a swim buoy. I purchased the “Fluo Green” because I read that it was the most visible. I purchased the 15L size because it was recommended for my weight.The NEW WAVE SWIM BUOY did give me some confidence in open water, but I still freak out seeing all the aquatic plants waving at me from the bottom of the lake.I agree with others who say the “Fluo Green” is the most visible to see.I think the larger 20L is a better choice if you’re traveling away from home. The 15L is suitable to only carry a wallet and a few keys. Anything else like slippers, towel, dry clothes, etc. will be a very tight fit.If you’re a confident or a beginner swimmer, I think the NEW WAVE SWIM BUOY is a good safety investment for open water swimming. Even the best swimmer can get cramps or simply need to rest. That’s when you’re glad you have a NEW WAVE SWIM BUOY.

I love this swim buoy and dry bag! It holds all my stuff when I'm swimming, and the strap is so comfortable I don't even notice it. but even better, the company has Awesome customer service. I bought this bouy in April and it developed a hole along the seam, and so I left a review saying that it didn't last long. The seller just immediately refunded my order, apologized & said quality problems do happen but are rare, and replaced it at no cost. I have not had any problem since. Thanks.

The pouch section is seperate from the air pocket, but it did leak a little. Don't put anything in there that can't get wet. Otherwise, I'm a big fan - it does not bother me while I swim, Would buy again,

I've been doing solo open water swims recently. In preparation, I was reading up on what I'd need, and saw a few places that recommended a swim buoy. I have been using this one regularly now for over a month swimming in a bay with choppy waters. Works great. The dry sack part has plenty of room for my size 12 flip flops, my phone and car key, and I haven't had any problems with water getting inside (although I do keep my phone in a water proof case just in case). It's great having the added visibility since there are always boats out there. I do notice that it bumps my legs sometimes if I'm swimming breaststroke, but it's not a big deal.

Easy to use and set up. Worked great! Great visibility and great support to grab when tired or needing a break. It adds a huge safety level and sense of security.

I am 6'2" and 210 Lbs. It floats me just fine. Does not interfere with any of my strokes. You can pretty much forget it is there. Never had to "use" it for resting yet, but increases my confidence and security very well.

bought for a friend that swims with me - can see him 1/2 mile away in the bay - great visibility and safety and blow up makes it easy to transport

It's great as a buoy to be visible in open water. But the storage compartment is not great - it lets in a small amount of water, so there is no way I would keep a phone in there. Even my car keys I wrap in a separate sealed plastic bag before I put it in the compartment. Basically the storage compartment is just 'sealed' by folding over the end of the bag, so it's not as if it is a proper seal. The actual storage space really is limited - I wouldn't fit more than my glasses and car keys in it.
