The pad in the stamp unit comes with water based ink. You can use other ink, but it all depends on what you will be stamping and how often you will need to change the stamp pad.

Q: Can you stamp plastic bags? Like breast milk storage bags without ink wiping off.

No, the ink will smear. I tried it and it didn't work. The bag I tried it on was a "shiney" plastic. I don't know if the bag has a matt finish if it would work or not. I would also think that the moister in the freezer might cause it to rub off.

Q: What years are on the stamp? Replies vary from through 2023 to 2030.

Sturdy, reliable and clear

I bought this stamp to replace a flimsy plastic user-customizable one. This one is so much better, and not much more expensive. The text is clear, the mechanism is solid and I really don't think I could have asked for a better stamp. Can't believe I wasted years with a stamp I hated!

Perfect personalize stamp.

I got this for my classroom and grading papers. It was perfect! I loved the two tone ink and date changing ability. I wish I could have used it more as my school went 95% electronic with no warning to us teachers! I will definitely use it again when I get back to a school that still uses pen and paper!

Easy to use

I bought this and had it customized so that I wouldn’t have to write my initials and dates on hvac filters (usually 100-130 filters) on roof Maintenances. It works good, but I’ve noticed that stamping the filters doesn’t transfer too well because the filters flex and this thing needs a sold flat surface to get a good clear stamp. If you’re using it for anything other than a flat surface that doesn’t flex, it’ll work great for you
