It is a pretty nice looking holder. Spouse and I are quite happy with the item. The instructions say you need a smooth surface to mount to for the adhesive to stick best. We have the normal sand surface type wall. I was able locate a stud and use 1.5" long pan head screws to attach the mount to the wall. Using the combination of screws and adhesive, this provides for a good solid mount. A stud is 1.5" wide so I spaced the screws as wide as I could, at about 1.25" apart, so I could catch the stud with both screws. Keep in mind the screw heads cannot be higher than the plastic mount, other wise the holder will not slide onto the mount. Good luck and enjoy.

While this item seemed like a good idea, the adhesive used to secure the hair dryer did not hold at all. It lasted only a few days. I am just glad I was able to catch it so the dryer did not break. I do not recommend this product at all!!!
