Penn-Plax Shaggy Kabob Bird Toy, Keeps Small Bird Breeds Stimulated and Entertained for Hours (BA930) Small

This shaggy, knotted rope toy is much larger than I expected. Still, my 4 budgerigars seem to enjoy it, and it should last a good long time. Looks nice, similar to other rope toys for small hookbills. Would buy again.

Bigger and better quality than I expected

During mating season -He courts it and then you can guess what's next... A new one is placed in his cage when out of mating season so he preens and sleeps on top of it. He doesn't soil on it. He gets the largest kabob, it gets shredded as he yanks out threads one at a time for hours a day. It is used up in 3 months reduced to 1/4 its size it gets thrown away. It's well worth it - my parrot does not like most of the expensive toys and he hardly feather plucks while preening this toy. The only caution is that his feet get tangled up once in a while in the loosened threads....check on your bird regularly for mishaps as you should always do. It has the potential for injury if you bird is very active with it. No stretch / sturdy for a African Gray to stand on has a heavy wire down the center /as the rope-threads and wood balls are preened/chewed they are destroyed but that is their purpose. chewing and tugging.

When the birds got it. They loved it but the strings were everywhere.

The media could not be loaded.  Cute toy, bird seemed to like it enough that it had a few poops on it after only a week of part time use as he is just starting cage training and only in the cage a few hours a day. Removed to clean and *so much* dye easily poured out in just tap cool water. Probably not good for the bird. Washed until water ran clear and thoroughly dried before placing back in the cage. Should have been rinsed or washed before sending to consumer. Don’t know what it’s dyed with, but not assured it’s nontoxic.

I like it but I have small bird. ideal and perfect for conure or medium bird but I didn't think it was going to be as twice as big as it advertised. My bird so far isn't impressed hope shell come.around. but great price for medium bird. I have a parrotlet anything bigger like quaker conure would be perfect for. Totally worth it, it's strings are good and made strong

Buddy like picking at this, Its pretty big but its a good toy

So far my birds have screeched at it but I know they’ll love it once they actually check it out.
