Vivitar CPL-58 58mm CPL Filter

Recently I bought an $800 Lumix extended zoom point and shoot camera. I didn't want to take a chance scratching the 62mm front lens so I attached this filter to protect it. You can pay a lot more for a UV filter but this one works perfectly and at a cost of approximately $10 it's a great value. The filter is actually 67mm in diameter and it comes with a free step down adaptor. Because the filter has a greater diameter than the camera's front lens the image won't vignette (darken in the corners) even when the zoom is set at 25mm maximum wide angle.

Works as I wanted. However, it does not tighten in the SX60HS adapter, and I thought that was odd. I understand now! The polarizer can be rotated while it is in the mount.

I used it to remove glare from photos and reduce reflections when taking pictures of items in glass enclosures. Very effective. For this price, you cannot ask for more. This filter is thinner than another brand filter I bought.I definitely recommend this filter. It is effective but I did not compare it against expensive Hoya or other filters.For this price, you cannot go wrong.

Good price and an inexpensive way to protect your camera lens. I put them on all my lenses. Cheap insurance to save your lens. Plus this one can sharpen your colors.

The description states this is a multicoated lens, but when it arrived it clearly is Vivitar's less expensive series without multicoating.It does perform as a polarizer, but image quality less than expected.

I generally buy Vivtar lens filters because of the quality you can get for best price. I am pleased with this one as I have been with all of my other filters.

I purchased this item for my Nikon 28-300mm lens for my trip out west. My photos were consistently coming out blurry. Removing this filter and putting my UV filter on solved the problem. The glass is the lense moves around and therefore is not allowing the camera to focus correctly. I would NOT recommend this filter to anybody. It was a total waste of money and since my 30 day window has passed since I purchased it Amazon will not take it back.
