ok, so this is beautiful! and extremely sturdy! It is very hard for me to put in my hair because it hold so little hair, and you have to catch it just right so it doesn't slip down the hair you put in it, BUT, if you get it just right, and only put a small amount of hair in it, it's truly great and holds all day. It's so sturdy there is absolutely NO give, so you just have to be patient and work it till you get it, then you will be very pleased with the results! cause it stays in, and is super pretty! As pictured!!

I bought this to go with larger fabric scarves. It works beautifully. I haven’t tried it with thicker wool scarves yet, but it is an excellent accent piece.

This is a beautiful piece. Sturdy, easy to use. However, it's not graleat fir thick hair.

None of these hairpins will hold any amount of hair without being bobbypinned 5 times into place. A small ponytail band is too thick for the pin to fit through to the other side. They are too heavy and will slide right off.

Wanted for my hair but use instead for my grey sweater as a brooch because it was inexpensive and worth it to keep for that price. It is pretty, strong, and well constructed; it will last.Not suitable even for medium thick hair (like mine) or braids, because brooch holes in which to place the pin are Small! And unequally sized. In my honest opinion you would always have to put the pin in thru the same two holes every single time-- while behind your head, not looking--and who has time for that? (You can't just put hair up and pin thru, I tried multiple times.)Brooch is a bit heavy due to strong construction (a positive) but I still think it would work for thinner hair (even if long!) due to small holes and tight pin, as described.

This is a great touch to dress up and pony tail. It is hard to use on thick hair or straight hair since it is heavy and there's not a lot of gap.

I don’t usually leave reviews...but I’ve seen a lot of bad ones for this product so I want to give my two cents...I LOVE IT. It is tricky to slide it correctly but that’s it. It took me one failed attempt to figure it out and now it’s amazing. My hair is really fine. I was happy to find something that will hold it. And it’s inspired me to buy more sliding hair clips.
