Nobels ODR-1 Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal w/ 3 Patch Cables and Geartree Cloth

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This Nobels ODR 1 is reputed to be a favorite among Nashville guitarists however more than likely they possess the original not the reissue as this is. That being said this pedal does a very good job of adding girth and a variety of overdrive tones. I am playing through a Fender Vibro Champ and the video is being recorded on a cell phone; some of the audio may be somewhat compromised. The Nobels has a spectrum control which seems to function somewhat differently from a standard tone control; you must work with it to find your sweet spot. For me this is an always on pedal as I use it at the beginning of my signal chain more as a boosting overdrive so that my guitar volume plays a role in determining the sound I am going for. Although the green color may remind you of a Tube Screamer type pedal I have found that the ODR 1 does not have the pronounced midrange that a TS can have. As with many of the pedals I tend to review I am trying to give an overview of the pedal and its functions so I am bound to bring out some haters. I will say this again this is subjective I am sure there are other reviews and demos out there that cover the pedal more effectively than me. So if this is you go look at all the reviews you can find and please have fun doing it. Thanks Willet
