Good Book. Informal tone
This book is refreshing to read , especially as an Indian. I find that every time I pick up a book that talks about fitness and weight management, everything I eat is criticized . āDonāt eat rice, donāt eat ghee, donāt eat coconuts, donāt eat bananasā etc and it made me question the ancient wisdom of my ancestors- people in my family have been subsisting on grains and fruit and vegetables for many many generations . This book helped me understand what is truly bad for me and how those traditional foods are actually healthy, but eaten the right way in the right amounts.A lot of good advice, in a VERY informal tone. There is heavy criticism in the book for certain behavior patterns or schools of thought and some people might not like that , but I overall, would recommend!

I got this book hoping I would gain some more ...
I got this book hoping I would gain some more information about managing thyroid disease without medication but did not help me much. I hoped there would be more diet information as not many people can afford consultation with Rujuta.

The language is really annoying to read
No specific recommendations, author just does round and round about her clients and experiences which helps to some extent but not as substantial as you would think. The language is really annoying to read. I'm from Mumbai and I enjoy the way we talk, but reading it in a book is not fun and especially when the topic is so important and sensitive for quite a lot of people as the book suggest; it kind of takes it away from the issue.

Annoying.
The language is really insensitive around a very sensitive issue. The author makes it sound like the condition is made up and women suffering from this condition are making a big deal out of it. Although I don't mind an informal language, its immature and quite annoying. I felt like I know more about the author's clients than I know anything about what I should eat. I am an indian and was really looking forward to her recommendations about an indian diet , but I am disappointed.

Very simple and easy to understand
Thereās nothing fancy that is written in this book. Everything is whatever we eat everyday but we do not understand we should do exactly.

If I had my way, I would have given this book 7 on 5 !!
Rujuta has always been a personal favorite for her 'Don't care a damn' attitude and the courage to do what she does 'in the face' on her diet and consultation front. I have been suffering from hypothyroid some years now and was looking for that one dependable reference place to understand what's happening to my body so as to make the right life changes, Need I tell in as many words what a blessing this book turned out to be. I'am losing inches by the day and becoming more and more leaner, lighter and yet so much fitter by applying the guidance she has given in the book. My personal favorite of the guidance is eating within first 15-20 minutes of getting up in the morning. Its worked like magic for me. And I am sure I would be totally off the damn thyroid pill in no time from now. This is the best ever gift you can buy for self. Do it and follow it !!

An extremely helpful book on PCOD and Thyroid
PCOD, PCOS and Thyroid related disorders are quite rampant in all over the world and especially in India. Rujuta has written a very detailed book on understanding these issues, diseases and challenges. She has also suggested in detail how to deal with these issues and lead a very happy life.It is true that there is no one particular remedy for all and therefore try these methods. Some will work for you and some may not. The author has given very good guidance, in detail, on what to follow and what not.Another aspect I liked about the book is that the methods to manage and get rid of the issues are all natural and not chemical solutions that many doctors prescribe. I loved that in the book. You know that you won't be harming yourself by trying these things out.A very Helpful book. A keeper.
