Not the Deluxe Edition
The standard English version of this album has had removed collaborations with Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean, which are replaced in the deluxe album. These songs are real highlights and well worth attempting to get the Deluxe edition for. Unfortunately the album received didn't have these extra songs. Amazon were very good and suggested if I bought the 2 songs as MP3, they will refund me the cost. For some reason the songs are included in the deluxe MP3 album so this was possible. The collaborations replacing these two songs are both fairly poor, and I have deleted them from my MP3 player and inserted the McGraw/Aldean songs in their place, so now the album plays through as it was intended, and as it does on the American version. So there are solutions, but it begs the question, why are country albums so routinely butchered before they are released in England?! Even really popular songs are removed or altered. Taylor Swifts 3rd album "Speak Now" was released a few weeks after "Mine" had already become a global hit, and yet the English standard album contained a completely different version of the song, with the "proper" version again only available if you pay the extra for the deluxe edition.

Home Town Boy
I have lived and loved with Lional Richie and as flash as It sounds I knew he had an album like this In him.The Country Tilt to this Is brilliantly founded on a series of duets with legendary country giants some old and some newer ones.As I usually say this CD Is a Friday Nighter end of a long working week a nice long drink and sink In and take In the music.The reason I only gave It 4 was due to the anomalies of more recent girl singers Pixie Lott and the lead singing girl from SUGARLAND whose name escapes me, the tracks In my view just didn't work.

Lionel Richie - Icon
This Guy can sing and he can sing really well with others too as heard on this cd. He commands a lot of respect for his totally professional approach and he has been enjoying a fabulous career - long may it continue. He has written and sung some iconic songs so I bow to his talent and recognise him as a fantastic human being.

Excellent Lionel Richie
Although I was familiar with most of the tracks prior to buying Tuskegee,and some are my all time favourites,the arrangements were different, appealing and allowed a new interpretation of the melody.A good example is the use of slide guitar with minimal reference to the straight melody at the start.The careful harmonies constructed with the guesting artists brought a new dimension and I was left wondering if these tracks would have had the same effect if I hadn't been familiar with the material.
