For new construction of our house. No way was I going to use wood poles that sag. We live in Western Maine and have many heavy jackets so the sturdiness is critical. Excellent product.

after reading the previous reviews. The finger joints don't concern me. It would be prohibitively expensive to mill a 6 foot dowel clear of knots and cracks in one go. Finger joining ensures clear straight grain wood throughout the length.I installed four of these in two 6 foot deep wardrobe closets and used a support brackets in the middle. I think if you tried to span 6 ft without support and then loaded it with clothes it would sag and possibly break. The description recommends support every 16" which in my estimation is overkill; every 36 inches is fine.The only improvement I can see is THE PACKAGING! Four poles came in four individual oversized boxes. That is wasteful (material, shipping cost and my time dealing with the waste). Why not use one cardboard tube? These aren't fragile items.

There is not much to say. They are exactly what I was looking for, heavy duty crome rods for the new closet I am building for my wife.

Hello,My name is Rob.Been working on my closet since January of 2020. Built a pony wall and add wooden poles to support our clothes. These poles were purchased at our local home improment store. Cut, painted, and non refundable. Cost some cash.Point being, all of the wooden rods were smiling at us due to the weight.However, what I purchased here at the A, solved my rod smile problems.Would I recommend, yes.

Awesome and yes the sticker peels right off, it does not leave a residue! So I read a review that said the sticker was a nuisance however no it’s not. It peels off like a sticky note. Awesome color and finish it looks so sturdy can’t wait to install them in our closet. Very glad we got this the only thing that I’m not happy with as a seller will only allow us to buy three and we needed five. We have twin master closets on each side of the hallway.

These poles are great quality, but the packaging is terrible and it is clear that they were mishandled in the distribution center. There are a lot of scrapes and gashes in the bronze coating on about half of the ones I ordered. I found them for the same price at a local big box hardware store. That's a better bet since you don't want to try to ship these back to amazon and you can see what you're getting up front.But if you get lucky and they are undamaged this is a great product. These aren't going to bend on you anytime soon. They say support is required for poles beyond 48" but if you are sparsely populating these you could push that. The hangers sliding across don't seem to wear down the coating - it is blunt force that makes the coating peel. Also, it will peel at the ends if you attempt to cut these to a smaller size. I tried using a heavy duty pipe cutter but that didn't work because these are so thick. The hacksaw method recommended works pretty good if you have a system to lock the rod into place when cutting but you have to be careful not to chip the coating when doing so.

This is a top quality closet rod!

I bought this rod to hang my mom's wreaths in an organized fashion and it worked out great! I chose the oak because it won't bend like steel might. I know they're just wreaths, but she had A LOT! And a lot of anything gets heavy. The rod is smooth to the touch and measures exactly as advertised. You can see where the wood is pieced together and it's asymmetrical which makes it stronger. I'm very pleased

This closet rod is as described but the condition is awful! It has three deep scratches in it down to the steel.
