Holly Schmolly! I never JUMP to make a review, but this product deserves it! I have a couple fishing knives that I bought a fancy sharpening stone for and can never do it properly.. I feel like I just make more dull. The sharpening stone was probably $50 plus tax. I finally googled a simple way to sharpen knives, and saw this. It just came today and in five minutes both of my knives are sharper than when I bought them…. Before you purchase a fancy stone, do yourself a huge favor and try this first. It’s well worth the money. Heck even if it only sharpens it one time it’s worth the money to me! OK, a few times…. But if this constantly sharpens them like this, it’s one of the best investments I’ve made in a long time. Nobody’s paying me, and this is all just honest feedback. I’ve bought decent knives and then thought I needed a nice sharpening stone. I was wrong. Start with this! The worst that can happen is you have to go fancier with a stone. But I’m guessing you won’t have to. I’m gathering, without really knowing, that it’s pretty aggressive on your blade. So if you have a really fancy knife maybe this isn’t the best for you. But a $30-$40 fillet knife and other knife for dispatching your fish, that is super sharp all the time?? This thing is ideal for it!

Low cost effective sharpening tool
Excellent low cost tool for resetting a knife's correct bevel angle. I've got Arkansas and Japanese water stones I've used for years but over time it seems inevitable there's a bit of deviation from how the edges were factory ground. America's Test Kitchen recommended these as the best tool they tried and so I thought I'd give them a try. No disappointments, they work exactly as advertised. Just a few pulls in one direction and the bevel angle is reset like new. The "fine" grade isn't more than about half way to what a really first rate sharpening is supposed to be like though. I finish the job with a finer grade of Japanese water stone and then a leather strop.

excellent sharpener
I like this sharpener. It's small, fits well in my hand and my utensil drawer. I've had another one of these for many, many years. It's easy to use, does a great sharpening job. My husband brought it home one day after making a trip to the store, impulse buy, and we've had it for probably 30-40 years, using it regularly. Husband died nearly 25 years ago and finally one of the tiny whetstones fell out of the one I had and I felt lucky to find another one just like it!

Good price, excellent results
I've purchased many knife sharpeners, some simple and inexpensive, some very fancy (and difficult to use!) and expensive but I keep coming back to this little wonder. It is all but foolproof, inexpensive, safe if used correctly and being able to reverse the sharpening components make using it very economical. The only complaint I have and the only reason I cannot give it five stars is that the replacement sharpening bits cost about 90% of the cost of a new unit. I end up just buying a new one every year or so and the old one goes into my stash of tools for use on heavy shears or things like hand held brush trimmers. But with a retail price of less than $12 (at this time; who knows how much it will cost in the future thanks to Trump's tariffs) it remains the knife sharpener I always reach for.

Great sharpener, great value.
It's very easy to use, immediately effective, and a safer design than I initially assumed. I especially like that it's a precise 15º the same as my knives. And that it stores so easily in the drawer with my other kitchen tools.

Mighty Sharpener !
Wow ... This sharpener is incredible. We own a mid-range knife set that has gotten dull over the past 5 years of household usage. Most pieces were starting to get dull to the point that they were dangerous to use or useless. Before spending $500+ to replace the set, I figured nothing to lose with the $24.99 I paid for this ... Right out of the box, 5 passes and the knife was as good as knew. I was able to do the entire set in less than 15 minutes and just like that, no need for new knives.Went into my shed and broke out older knives that I used for outdoor grilling, brought those back from the dead! I highly recommend these knives to ANYONE. Easy to use, affordable, effective. Easily the best $25 spent in 2025.

Great pocket sized sharpner
Being a butcher of many years, I keep multiple knives in use for many hours a day. The AccuSharp 15deg sharpener is a wonderful tool which can get my knives very sharp in a short time. I love it's portability, value, and functionality. The carbide blades will sharpen my hard steel knives with no problem. I still use my 3 stage stone and 3 stage electric at home. I keep this jewel in my knife roll pocket for times when a steel isn't "cutting it".

Does the Job
Works fine and does the job. I been using other versions for years and they're great but got some new knives had to get a 15-D one.
